John Ross Palmer is the favored artist by Houston’s famed Vallone Family. Tony Vallone is the country’s premier restaurateur with his flagship restaurant, Tony’s, in Houston, Texas. While Tony’s contains a great number of Palmer originals, the pièce de résistance is a massive mural that connects the Main Dining Room from the San Remo Room. Vallone and Palmer collaborated on the project for more than two years before it was completed in 2014. The mural, entitled “Growth,” is an airy, contemporary forest with rustling leaves. Palmer’s Growth style was born from this massive project and will forever be connected to the Vallone family.
